Too tired to make this a long entry, but I was rather unpleasantly surprised when I had no water to shower with this morning. They're widening the major road behind my house, so I had a front row seat view of the aftermath-- once I finally got through to the water company to find out that my water main was broken by the contractor.
Since I work in the industry, although it was quite the inconvenience, it didn't really phase me. Though, I've been crabby all morning because I've been awake since 4am. Jordan kept getting up because Dave's teeth kept waking him up. The 4th time, I asked if he wanted me to go. Jordan said "no". The 5th time he got up, his loud bitching woke me up. So I went in there and, for about 30 minutes, I rocked Dave and told him stories (after giving him teething tablets). I came back to bed around 4:30.... and then mister "I'm not getting any sleep" decided to roll on top of me to snuggle.... and keep me awake. His alarm went off at 5:30. He proceeded to periodically wake me to snuggle despite me verbally ripping his head off.
Men must have a death wish.
Naturally, when I finally rolled out of bed, I was angry... and I couldn't take a shower.
Rough morning.
Things are looking up, though. They got the water main repaired rather quickly. I can honestly say that because I do roads myself, so I know this sort of thing happens even when it's bluestaked-- if the contractor didn't "call before they dug" they'll foot the bill. If they dug away from the bluestake mark, then whoever marked the utilities pays. But, like I said, it got fixed pretty fast. I can't complain.
My child is asleep. I had a ton of things to do today, but I just don't have the energy to do them because Jordan wanted to smother me because he hasn't seen me for 4 days.
UGH.
I'm gonna go catch a nap while I still might be able to get 30-60 mins of rest!
