Allergies and Asthma
Don't know why, but my allergies are going hey-wire! I have one watery eye and I keep sneezing-- epic sneezes. I'm probably snoring like a horse too.
Tomorrow is primary election day. I was a good little citizen and I did my civic duty to research candidates so I'm ready to vote. Funny... I never had much political efficacy 'till recently. Something about living in a district full of morons had kinda made voting futile when I was in college... and what the hell happened to a "secret" ballot? People call all the time to get pre-poll numbers to make estimates. "Who are YOU voting for?" Umm... people? SECRET BALLOT!
Gah! I really want to stay up and read "Mockingjay" which Amazon shipped today... or watch more Dexter Season 4-- there's something wrong with a TV show where you cheer for the "bad" guy... but with the allergies I really should just take some meds and pass out.
I slept in this morning. My alarm went off around 6am (give-or-take... Jordan set my clock ahead some undisclosed time)... I was so medicine-head this morning that I turned off the alarm. An hour later, I check the clock because the snooze didn't go off. 7:09! CRAP! I usually leave the house at 7:12 or earlier.
I took the quickest shower ever, got dressed and checked the time on the microwave as I left the house-- 7:04. Nice. I'm earlier than on-time! Woo!
Tomorrow, I need to get up when the alarm goes off... so I can go vote before work-- the polls will close in the evening about when I get home from work. *sigh* ALMOST makes me want to do the advance-vote thing. Almost. I still enjoy going down to the polling place and seeing how candidates behave up through election day.
Anyway... I've rambled so long I'd better get to bed... if I can sleep without sneezing. Gah!
