... the only problem I have is in the 10-years without regular access to a piano my playing has atrophied... terribly. Also, I need sheet MUSIC. *dies *
I did have a toccata and fugue in D minor and an easier version of Pachabel's Cannon (apologies to the Cello players out there for that one, but it's just SO FUN to play when you play the harmony) that I asked my husband to place with his sheet music... which I now cannot find. *head desk * Oh, well...
Also... went to a baby shower today. Someone else was cracking jokes about not having kids. Someone said something about changing diapers and the other lady said, "Reason number 342 why not to have kids" to which I replied, "You're only in the 300s? I'm in the 900's".... Honestly, I really eventually would like to spawn little hellish offspring... but right now... it's, as they say, not in the cards.
Theresa was actually the first person to 'get' the gift I gave her-- a handmade baby sling. (Yes, I sew... yes, I occasionally make "cute" things. I'm not 100% tom-boy.) So... YAY! She was actually really excited about using it too. I haven't heard anything positive or negative from the 4 other people I gifted with a baby sling. Maybe it's the no-refund policy? Heh. *jokes*
Jen (
adelrya ) put on a good shower for Theresa. I actually enjoyed the games she came up with. We played "baby hot potato" with a Cabbage Patch Doll. This game was hilarious. As people got "out" they were tossing the baby across the room. One lady yelled out, "I'm not very good at throwing babies!" The baby was dropped several times too. It was a blast... and, strangely appealing to me. The second game was "pin the diaper on the balloon". It was a fast game, but fun. Too many expert diaper changers were in the room. Then, we played a bingo-present game. It was good times. Way to go Jen! That was one of the most fun showers I've attended!
