*sigh*
I don't know if I've ranted about the architects previously... but this time, I'm ready to die from too much cringing.
I went home at 11am yesterday to "study". (I was also feeling sick. *grumble, mutter*) It's a good thing too. There was a "call me" message on my phone from 11:40 yesterday am from the contractor on a project that's driving me literally nuts. Normally this isn't a problem. The problem is that I'm really not the person to talk to-- my PM, Mr. Joe is the person to talk to. I have no idea why people call me-- maybe it's because I'm cooperative and non-retarded? I suspect the architect told them to contact me... I dunno. People above me who are like... anal when it comes to signing things and changing things because they don't want to be liable. Whatever...
No, but seriously... as we've all read, you need to be a PE to sign and seal plans. I'm not even an EIT. So when I come in today and have a UPS parcel (from y'day) with documents that the architect has sent that need to be "signed and sealed" and it's addressed to me... I'm flattered... but I'm also wondering why they don't send it to Joe-Guy whose seal and signature is on the final set of the civil's roadway plans for the garage expansion project! *dies*
