I rarely shop online. I want it in my hands immediately. So considering mine and Russ's insane addiction to DVDs in general, but especially TV seasons, I thought I'd share our bargain hunting expertise advice. Also, this way I can rec shows. :P
Rome:
Usual Price: Around $60 (used to be $90...sometimes it pays to wait a bit)
First Season on Sale:
Best Buy:
for $29.99 (store and online).
Amazon:
for $29.99, (but that doesn't include shipping).
Barnes & Noble:
for $48.59 (Member AND online price--probably full price in store). (I never buy DVDs from B&N unless they're rare.)
Second Season On Sale:
Best Buy:
for $59.99.
Amazon:
for $53.99.
Barnes & Noble:
for $43.19.
Both seasons are at Target for $39.99 (sorry, no link there). (This is where Russ and I bought both seasons, and now I wish we'd waited a bit.)
Consensus: Buy Season 1 at Best Buy, NOT at Target. And buy season 2 at Target. If you're lucky (like the 3 Best Buys and Targets we have), they're usually right next to each other.
Supernatural:
Usual Price: $45, give or take a few dollars.
Best Buy:
All 3 seasons for $48.99Amazon:
Season 1 for $39.99,
Season 2 for $37.99, &
Season 3 for $38.99.
Barnes & Noble:
all from $40-45 (That's online and member price. In store, they're $60).
(Dude, why even bother with B&N anymore...)
Consensus:
Go
here for Target's Weekly Ad, flip to pages 30-31 and find Seasons 1 & 3 for $18.99 (Season 1 lasts till May 11 and Season 3 till Saturday) and buy Season 2 from Amazon. Or just be patient.
...Hey, I'm trying to help the economy here! :P
There. You've now had our first week's lesson.
I'm done with the HTML code.
I'm now going to watch Season 1 of Supernatural. (Demelza, I blame you COMPLETELY for this.) :P
