So I spent the last week in Los Angeles with Avi, who I have not seen in a year.  It was great to hang out, even though all the conversation with her and Lis was about old Who which I am not familiar with.  We went to the Elivis Costello concert, but more importantly, we went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

Last week was crappy, and now I'm apparently going for two.  The flu/cold is finally clearing up, except for my ears, which is worse than it sounds.  I'm off balance a lot of the day and extremely prone to motion sickness, especially when I take the bus, which I have to do multiple times a day.  Also not helping is my ears refusing to pop when I go ( Read more... )

We play two, sometimes three games in my family:  Pinochle, Scrabble, and 500 Rummy.  Over the last few days, my aunt Denise has managed to argue the rules of all three, multiple times.  The woman has some pathological need to be immediately right, even if it contradicts something she's argued earlier.  It's kind of insane.

Annoying thing a bout christmas: all the sales that are supposed to save you money on gifts for other people, also happen to make verything you want to get for yourself on sale as well.  I'm being taunted here.
