A whole new year - full of possibilities!
New Year's Eve was spent with my hubby, daughter, Mother & Father-in-law in Orlando at Universal Studios. The weather was just right - well for most of our visit. We had a couple of really cold days but spent them shopping. Kim got her birthday present from her grand parents - pants from Hot Topic (her fav store)and Tod got his iPhone. We spent a day at Islands of Adventure, a day golfing and one at Bush Gardens. All in all a good time was had by all. I was kinda bummed about coming back to Toronto and all that snow but what a nice suprise - warm (by winter standards anyway) weather for a couple of days!
Yesterday at work was spent catching up with stuff that had come in over vacation time. Today I've actually done some work. LOL! I'm on my lunch right now - not slacking off.
I went to the gym last night - first time in about a month. Boy do my legs hurt today.
Emails have been flying all morning back and forth between members of my ringette team. We're in a tournament on Jan 18 - 20th in Waterloo and there are all kinds of last minute stuff that needs to be taken care of. We'll probably get our butts kicked cause we're playing out of our league. (C and we're C- at the very least) Should be fun!
Kim had a date with Glen last night. I think she had fun. It was her birthday but she didn't want anything done for it - no cake or anything :-( It felt funny not to do something for her but she said we had already celebrated with our trip. She has her last driver's lesson tonight and then her test.
Daivia my granddaughter took 8 steps yesterday. She just turned 10 months on Jan. 5th! Maybe we can take a trip to Ottawa this weekend???
My goals for 2008 - to get down to 140 (as always); to tone up; to become a better goalie (going to go to some goalie clinics I think); travel to BC to see Chrystal; maybe plan a girls weekend in Nashville?? paint the upstairs rooms; get someone to build our deck - whoa! I think that's enough for one year!
My wish is for everyone to have a peaceful and happy year!
