Christmas is over for another year!

Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone was able to celebrate in some form. We celebrate Christmas complete with the obligatory Catholic mass, the filling of socks and egg nog nightcap on Christmas Eve and the waking early to unwrap presents, have breakfast and start the Christmas feast. Our numbers were depleted this year. Chrystal is in BC and couldn't get home as she just moved there in October. Meaghan, David and my 9 month-old grand daughter had just moved to Ottawa in November so also couldn't get home for the same reason. On the up side - my son was able to make it and brought his girlfriend, Luna, with him. She's from Beijing and is Buddhist so our traditions were very different. They arrived on Sunday in time to come to my hockey game - which turned out to be two. I played goal for the 10 o'clock (4-4 tie) and my own team's 11 o'clock game (4-3 loss). It was the first time my son has watched me play. I think he might have been impressed! :-)

Boxing day was spent at the mall spending our gift cards and eating leftovers.

Today I'm at work - but I'm the only one here so I'm hardly working! I have to come to work tomorrow and then we leave for Florida - Hurray!!! - for a week to visit my in-laws and spend New Years eve in Universal theme park! Can hardly wait!!
