The afformentioned thing I was going to do, not so sure I am going to do it in light of new evidence.
Anyway, this angered me: Dental School Blogger Punishment...Should someone be punished for something they put in an online blog or journal? I am curious if I wrote something about someone, then is it ok for my job or my school to harass me about it? How much freedom do we really have on these journals is the question that this article proposes...I always considered bloggers and journals to be a free and open space, where you could put whatever you want. Whatever happened to freedom of speech as long as it doesn't harm another individual. No one is going out there and demanding that we hand over our paper journals or our hard drives. I wonder if that will be next. The government will start scanning over our hard drives and the U.S. will become a 1984esque government. Eventually, they will confiscate our thoughts from us and we will have to act and think like them? Usually people write what is on their mind at the moment, so a journal is really what that person thinks at that moment. If this person did not go out and do something to harm the students and/or faculty member, then why should they get punished? For godsakes it was a personal journal that was not even remotely connected to the university. When will the censorship end?
In other news the people I have been trying to contact finally decide to drop me a line. I guess my weekend is going to be filled with a lot of junk. One day I am going to get to clean my entire house and do all kinds of stuff (or it will smell icky and I never will)...
