Idiot phone

Funny how much frustration one little cellphone can cause. Even funnier because it's not my phone but my mom's : | She got a shiny new HTC Titan today, it's a Windows phone. It's... a little tricky to use so far. She tried to understand it and ended up almost panicking because she couldn't figure out how to get the phone numbers from her sim card

Yeah, okay ... that sounds like a nightmare phone.

My service provider decided my three year old Blackberry is a smart phone, even though it isn't. What this means for them is I am required to have a data plan on my phone, whether I want it or not. Talk about frustration. I have to pay them for something I don't even have.

...as in, you have to pay for internet access even though your phone can't actually use internet?

Very very limited internet. My phone isn't capable of downloading the aps needed to really make internet on my phone worthwhile, can't stream videos, lots of stuff that smart phones can do my phone cannot because it is not a smart phone. Mandatory data plans are a very recent thing with my service provider and that phone.

But now that you've described what some of the problems that come with a smart phone ... calling groups? I don't want to bother with that, no one does. Imagine forwarding an email and you couldn't pick addresses, to cc to, but had to create groups of email addresses that you would only email to once. That would be terrible.
