Dear Fanfiction.net,
Most of the time, I love you. Yes, it's not a very popular viewpoint, because most people I know love to hate you. I, on the other hand, do not have the patience to search out all those little archives and LJ communities to find what may or may not turn out to be good fic. What I do have is the courage to sort through the mountains of crap you have on your site to find that one (oh so rare) good fic. I admit it's annoying that you have so many bad writers, but, hey, you gotta accept the bad with the good, right? So I do, and I rarely complain about you, even when all others around me curse you to Hell and back.
Of course, just because I love you doesn't mean I'm blind. You have your bad points. Like deleting stories and author accounts on the report of what may or may not be a stupid, petty fanbrat with no sense of decency who decides to abuse the system set in place due to an offended sense of what they presume is dignity but is, in fact, idiotic immaturity. And you have your horrible points. Like your tendency to constantly go offline with absolutely no warning. Server problems causing you to go offline? Ah, I know, it's Saturday. Too much traffic flow overloading your systems? It must be a Tuesday.
Today, it is a Tuesday. And I loathe you, with the fire of a million suns.
