Sorry for the radio silence. It's been quite a weekend.

Friday morning I went to the hospital and got my i131 dosage. Everything was fine all day, I was just still tired (of course). Then overnight, I started having GI issues, bigtime. I won't get into details, but the pain and cramping has NOT been fun. My doctor doesn't think it's all pill side effect, however, because she's never seen it this bad, so she thinks that I may have caught a minor bug, and with being SO hypothyroid, my system reacted right when I got dosed rather than ignore it.

So I've been sick all weekend, and it's been pretty awful. The problem was that I had to NOT get dehydrated because if I went to hospital, it would be a nightmare, now that I was radioactive. So I was trying to push my way through. Another attempt at some bland solid food failed Saturday night, so Sunday all I had was liquids. This morning I'm definitely feeling better, but I'm not going to push the solid food until later, I think.

Ugg. It's bad enough being sick, but sick, alone, and radioactive? That's just miserable. Saturday all day, my doc was calling me to check in at 3 hour intervals to see how I was doing. She checked again yesterday. Hubby came by multiple times with airdrops of vitamin water and such and to check in. But last night it was good to actually sleep more than 2 hours at a time, so I think I'm turning a corner.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up having to take the entire week off from work too. As for now, back to try to get some more rest. Today's my last day of quarantine.

cancer, thyroid, take the blue pill, sick
