Last week, J & I caught most of Dateline NBC....the episode was about obesity and marketing food to children. The most interesting and most scary part is online, marketing food to kids. Watch the videos if you have a few minutes (esp if you have young kids or young nieces & nephews).

Just was chatting to Heather about it, and she backed up some of the info. Apparently when they did a Teletubbies Get up & Go event at a daycare facility recently (encouraging healthy activities), she brought yogurt, carrots, and celery for the snack. 2/3 of the kids didn't know what celery was (ages 4-6). A lot of these kids were from low income families, and those of school age got the school lunch program. And they didn't recognize celery. More kids recognized the carrots, but not all.

But yeah, watch those videos. They explain a lot. You'll also understand what I'm talking about in my subject line.
