SPN Big Bang 2013 - Art Post
And once again the Big Bang challenge blew over too fast. :( :( It was the first time my posting date was this early so I was really focused on this right away. I liked that. :D
When the story summaries were posted I read one which captured my interest immediately, because it was so different from the other stories (and it was Bobby-centric, didn't do that before). I was SO happy when I got that and shadesofblurple did not disappoint.
Her story "Conspectus" (here to find on AO3)is a wonderful observation of Bobby and his life and thoughts over the years and his connections not just to the Winchesters. Just lovely and some times very moving! I loved it very much! So if you didn't read it ... off you go, read!!! :D
With my art I tried to capture some important themes and feelings. Every chapter got a header and the story as a whole also. I wanted to do icons, but they wouldn't work the way I wanted. And then the time was tight so I let them be. And for the first time in my Big Bang history I did not do separators. ;D
On to the art now ....
My personal favorites are '1991/1992' cause I just love the scenes were Bobby gave each boy his attention and were a father figure for them. '1995' is my favorite color-wise.
My thanks goes to my wonderful author for giving me such an inspirational story. I had so much fun working with it and searching for the right images. Thank you, shadesofblurple, it was a pleasure!!
Also a big thank you, as always, for the two wonderful and lovely people who are responsible for all this: wendy and thehighwaywoman. You both are amazing for doing this year after year and to have the patience for organizing everything! Thank you both!!! ^_^
