Then we went back to The Village and I sweet-talked the barman into giving us HUGE glasses of white wine. He was a cutie. He told us to knock them back as quick as possible so his manager didn’t see how much he’d poured us - it was at least a half of bottle of wine in each glass! So needless to say we quite hammered by the time we got to the gig…which I shall write about in a minute….
I didn’t sleep much at all that night - I really can’t sleep in strange beds anymore. So I felt like shit in the morning, and the smell of the room was making me ill. So I got up about 8am and had a shower and went and had breakfast downstairs - Penny stayed in bed. We laughed at what an old woman I was by getting up so early! Oh and we both had weird dreams about CATS! Spooky! We thought maybe there was ghost cat in the room…maybe that was the smell….
Sadly we were both too fucked and broke to hang around Dublin for long, which was a shame because it was lovely and sunny and would have been great to hang out with Penny for longer. I LOVE HER. Can’t wait for our next adventure!!!
Giddy on champagne!
