Went to see Evan Dando and all i got was this lousy poster.
So yeah, EVAN DID NOT SHOW. You would think i would be used to it after all these years - he was notorious for his no shows in the 90s, but i foolishly believed he had changed since he got married and said he got clean. Yeah suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurre.
The official word from the venue was that he missed his flight. I suppose thats a reasonable explanation if he's been coming from New York because there are only like 2 flights a day to Belfast so if he missed it he would be screwed. But reports from his fan forum say he is actually stuck in immigration in London (probably for having heroin in his bag or some shit).
Anyway, i just called Penny and we've decided to go to dublin tomorrow anyway, since the hotel is booked and paid for. I am not counting on him showing up, but if he does, i will hit him a bloody hard smack in the mouth. Beautiful, but an asshole. :/
