It's now 1.10 am.
What I HAVE managed to get done for my Grandma's 90th Birthday tomorrow:
Bruschetta and toasted the crostini
Made 50 oven baked won ton cups
Shredded chicken/cabbage, made mango salsa and crumbled up feta to fill cups with
45 Asiago cups
White cheddar, manchego and gouda macaroni and cheese that I'll put in the asiago cups.
Both layers of her cake (Martha Stewart... I love that even when using cake flour, you still ask me to sift it no less than 4 times.)
Vanilla cake with two added cups of fresh, crushed strawberries.
It's going to be double layer 14 inch master of sugar and butter.. Yaay.
Cream cheese/mascarpone/strawberry frosting
What's left?
MORE damn asiago baskets, finish baking off cake layers, level, wrap and freeze them. Make pastry cream for between cake layers, pick up edible flowers for garnish and I need to make sure I don't forget her damn candles from my apartment.
So on other news... Nothing really. Currently housesitting for Jenny and Damon while they're away on vacation until April 7th. It's nice, I must say. Gorgeous house, amazing kitchen, even MORE time to myself than I already have.. which is slightly sad at times but meh.
Everyone seems to be really busy all the time, myself included. I'm missing Marcus and Morgan like mad but seems to be difficult to track 'em down.
And so...in 14 hours from now I'll be enduring my Grandmother's 90th Birthday with all of my relatives.. My crazy, crazy relatives.
With the help of Jenny, I'm getting kinda fuzzy... I want this other cake layer to finish cooking so I can finally pass out from this day. In such a comfortable bed.
