I am Talking Nonsense.

In a small slit of opportunity to ponder about the meaningful things in life this afternoon, I thought about something that I haven't thought about in a while - the idea of "the pursuit of happiness". This area piques my interest because it seems that no self-help book in the bookstores, lengthy discussions with professors, psychologists, our friends or even radio talk show hosts have uncovered a universally recognized formula for happiness (or success for that matter). There are self proclaimed philosophers who say that as long as we pursue the very things that we think will make us happy, we will quickly become bored of our achievements. Therefore, this operational strategy will never allow us to find true happiness and to be in a constant state of euphoria. I think it's worth acknowledging that everyone's definition of true happiness is different. In general, I believe that a person may be truly happy when they are comfortable in their own skin, and feel a large appetite for life - happiness may be achieved by understanding and accepting the world in which we live in, having great people around us, and knowing that there is room for positive change in our environment.
