House hunting?

We went out today to look at that trailer on 11 acres. The bank has taken over so the realtor told me I could try offering $20,000 less than they are asking. That would make it quite affordable even for someone as poor as me. I think those roads will be quite treacherous in winter, making for a long ride though.

I got there first, haha. The brother in law had a job interview today, so they were out this way, and he and my sister showed up next, and my mom showed up eventually after she took many wrong turns.

But we couldn't look inside cause the owner was MIA and the realtor couldn't get the combo lock open to get into the place. The land turned out to be mostly swamp, yuck. Only 4-5 acres are usable. There's a swamp on both sides and a lake behind the place. I imagine it has billions of mosquitoes in the summer.

The concrete pad the trailer is on seems to be sinking in the back and the thing is held up with rebar. I'd have to have a home inspection done for sure, and that's like $300 (OUCH!).

So I'm going back to look at the inside of the trailer, even though my thoughts are pretty no on buying the thing, but everyone else wants me to go. If Dad had come too (he was busy with some man that wants all his scrap metal, and has been calling 4-6 times a day for a couple weeks) I would have had my "contractor", my mortgage advisor, and a lawyer with me. That made Mom laugh.

I felt really crappy all day and almost called everything off. I really need to be doing laundry, but my head hurts so much and there are screaming idiots running around outside that I do not trust right now. Stomach flu is going around work and I might have caught it. Emohair went home last night early because of it.

I bathed Miriel today and she decided to violently object. She tore huge chunks out of my shower curtain, so I have to get another one ASAP. She kept going for my eyes I swear. She tore the hell out of my hand, damn bitch. The gouges are quite swollen and red, even though they bled like crazy and I repeatedly poured rubbing alcohol over them. She flooded the whole bathroom, even two bathtowels were not enough to sop it all up, and the third one was reserved for my own shower. Every time she clawed away from me and leapt out of the tub, her fur carried out like a gallon of water.

She finally gave up and held still long enough to get rinsed decently, with her mouth gaping open and her tongue sticking out. She doesn't have the brains to not inhale when a drop of water goes down her nose, so she kept choking herself. I can't believe she tore up my shower curtain like that--it's insane. She is usually pretty fine with water, but she was crazy cat today. She even hung from the soap dish for a couple minutes, in between trying to claw my throat and eyes out, little psycho.

She hid from my guests fro a long time, but she came out at last and I made her dance. My sister laughed when I paused, and Miriel whipped her head back and meowed sharply at me for stopping. More dancing! I make her imitate rappers, and pretend to DJ and stuff, and the weirdo loves it. She'll tip her head back and nose kiss me, purring while I make her dance like a puppet. Then I try to hold her normal and she hates it. Crazy cat!

Friday last week was like 71 degrees. It's going to be 10 degrees tonight. Bipolar weather can't make up it's mind. That reminds me, I need to move my car to a warmer spot so I don't have to scrape it in the morning.
