Farmer's Market part II -- Sunset at the Lake

Oct 18, 2009 17:25

So Mom and I went to see the little house with the gingerbread and the porches where I could be keeping my horses and chickens right now in my own backyard if someone hadn't backed out at the last minute. (Grandma was going to give me my inheritance early so I could make a down payment to get a really low monthly payment on the house, less than half of what I'm paying now on rent. But then she backed out and someone else snatched it up before me. :( Oh well, I guess living in a place with drug addicts, loud neighbors, and vandals is just as good.)

Not! I know, it's her money, blah blah blah.

This park on the lake is a short walk down the street from that house. I tried to take pictures of it at sunset before, but the film hadn't wound correctly so they were lost. The sunset had been gorgeous that day. It was bright and nice when we went back.

This looks fake to me, like it was computer generated.

One of the mysterious wildflowers growing in the wetlands that I had never seen before:

One of my favorite shots was one of Mom swinging on the swings like a kid. Grandma liked that one too, but Mom probably wouldn't want to be on the internet. (I don't either.)
