Oh Christmas Tree....

Dec 22, 2007 20:05

I think I finally got the Christmas tree decorated. Cat, you better not knock it down! Especially since my porcelain Breyer horse ornaments would cost a fortune now to replace. And I so love those things.

It took a while to do--half because I've spent all my time making gifts for people (not going well so far), and partly because some kitty keeps pulling all the ornaments off and trying to climb into the tree.
Mir: *CACKLE*
ME: Yeah, you! I've put my slippers on now, so I have TWO things to throw at you if you get out of line!

How Miriel spends her day:

Mir: *ZOOM!* *crash, tinkle tinkle* *ZOOM!*
Jade: *picks up the wreckage, wonders where she put the super glue*
Mir: *ZOOM!* *Boing! Crash!*
Jade: You're an idiot!
Mir: I'm fluffy! *bounce* *crash*
Jade: *rights the CD rack, and begins stacking back up books and CDs*
Miriel: Hee hee! *charges Jade, scattering everything she just stacked back up* *ZOOM!*
Jade: *hears the blinds crash down in the bedroom* *too tired to get up to look*

She is so clumsy sometimes. She'll bounce along, la la lala la, step over something, but every leg won't make it, fall, squirm around till she gets her leg free, then bounce off again, la lala lalaaa.

We are supposed to have awful weather tomorrow, so bad that the radio people were saying, "If you have shopping to do, do it now." I do, but I couldn't get going today, and so now everything is closed. Doh. I've felt like I've had the flu the last several days. I've been so sick to my stomach... I should go out at least and cram these boxes the ornaments were in back into the storeroom, they smell musty.

I think the weather is supposed to start in the early morning too. 50 mph winds, thunderstorms, ice rain, all sorts of fun. I could be home if I wasn't afraid of having an asthma attack, and the big looming problem of WORK. (I meant to get a new inhaler too, but it slipped my mind, and I forgot stuff would be closed with the holiday. So I'm screwed there.)

Stupid work--the doctor's office is probably closed Christmas Eve, right? So they won't hear anything then till after Christmas. Or should I wait to see if they will call me? How long do I have to wait?

It's not like there is anything I can do now, but wait for one of them to make a move. *SIGH* I still feel like I should be here in case work calls--I have to be ready to go in at a moments notice. It would help if I could check my voicemail remotely...

miriel, stupid work, kitties, kitty
