Okay, I am very much obligated to tell you about my hilarious morning.
I have a 9:30 AM class (Foundations of Liberal Arts). At 7:50, my alarm went off as usual. As I do every morning, I hit 'snooze' and went back to sleep. At 8:00, the alarm sounded again, and again I hit 'snooze' and fell back asleep. At 8:10, the alarm blared once again. This time, I hit 'snooze', but decided to just turn it off and get out of bed and get ready for the day. Well, when I turned it off, instead of getting up, somehow I immediately fell back asleep. At 9:16, I somehow became coherent enough to glance at the clock. In udder horror, I realized i had 14 minutes to get to class. I leaped out of bed, threw on some clothes, grabbed my books and ran out of the door. (Literally, I RAN out of the door.) Luckily, I made it to class with 5 minutes to spare (hey, that's pretty impressive...). The bad part, however, is that I was shower-less and felt grimy. The rest of the morning actually went okay, and I am now able to laugh at the experience.
Yet, there was another turn of events today. At about 1:30, after all my classes and such, I was finally able to take a shower. I traipsed down the hallway wrapped in my towel, hopped in an vacant shower (they were all open at the time, as expected at 1:30 in the afternoon). I turned on the water, but the liquid that came from the spout was not hot and soothing. IT WAS FREEZING COLD! They had been having water problems in our dorm and had to turn off the hot water. I HAD TO TAKE A COLD SHOWER. It was terrible, and after I was done I rushed back to my room. Needless to say, I dressed very quickly.
Overall, though, the day has been pretty good. Classes are still going well, but the homework supply is never-ending. Oh well. If it makes me a smarter person, so be it.
I <3 Choir! I think it's going to be a great year.
I also had my first voice lesson today. Well, it was more like a meeting. He checked my range, and told me what book I needed to purchase. *oh yay, another fee to tack on to my enormous book cost total* I'm really excited about starting voice lessons, though! :D
You know what's really fun? Being in college and acting like a kid. Friday, After going shopping, Ann Marie, Sarah, and I went out into the courtyard. It was dark outside, and most of the campus population were attending some comedy show or something. However, we took advantage of the people-less courtyard. (It's a little mini-park type thing with a fountain, surrounded by the cafeteria/campus center and the girls' dorm.) We sat at the fountain for a while and talked, then walked around the edge of the fountain. We then proceeded to do cartwheels in the grass. It was so much fun! :D Much more fun than the stupid greek recruitment stuff that's going on. I do NOT want to join a fraternity. Not for me.
Well, I think I'm going to grab a quick snack before I continue with my homework. Hope everyone is doing well back at home! :) Say hello to those you know I know for me...hehe :p
