1) did anyone else actually love all three of the POTC movies? I mean, I'll admit the second one drags and the third one is ridiculously convoluted, but I love the ridiculous convolutedness, and the way the stories turn out, even though Norrington's problems all stemmed solely from the fact that the writers decided to screw him over. I just. ( Read more... )

I BEAT THE DWARVES, HELL YEAH, LOOK AT ME AND MY BADASS BROODMOTHER-KILLING SELF, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO why doesn't alistair love me yet OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Alistair doesn't love you yet? What, did you insult his mother or something? He's usually all over me by that point. 0_o Also, yay, I love killing broodmothers :D.

also like, dude, I played through the female city elf opening just for kicks, and dude, I was actually furious. Like, yelling at my computer screen, wanting to punch a pillow angry. So well-done, but ARGH. also I love the fact that as an elf you can hate on humans all day long in the dialogue options. No human-curious Dalish elf for me! I KILLED AN ARL'S SON, BITCH.All my evil characters have been elves. Just...because it's so easy to be an evil elf. The game practically asks you to pick the mean and spiteful choices. Like introducing yourself to the King of Ferelden by saying that "I killed the Arl's son for raping my friend." I mean, GOD, how awesome ( ... )

well I mean he is all up on me but not all over me, if you know what I mean. I WILL BE STRONG. I WILL NOT GIVE HIM SHINY RUNESTONES IN EXCHANGE FOR SEXUAL FAVORS. I WILL NOT. I'LL JUST BEAT THE ELVES INSTEAD, AND THEN GO BACK.

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW I was like SUCK IT, CAILIN, I HATE YOU ALL. :-D

oh yay! have i told you lately how much i ship zevran/morrigan.

/how much i love your icon

Uh...you need to sleep with him before the landsmeet. I'm assuming you've done the Circle --> Redcliffe --> Urn --> Dwarves --> Elves, right? If so, then after Elves --> Landsmeet, so, uh, yes, give him runestones for sexual favors. :D

I know. :D Poor Calian, he gets so much abuse. I've even gotten to the point now where I'll abuse him as any race just for the lulz. Also, he's a pansy and is like, "Oh, how interesting!" when I insult him to his face.

I haven't done the Elves, but yes, I'll be sure to bang him before Landsmeet, never you worry. :-b (Quark beat the game, like, three days ago, so she's been sitting around coaching me through bossfights. "No! Just have Morrigan Cone of Cold everything!")

Man, my sister started playing, and she came to me and was like, "Oh my God, the king, I just want to lick him. Can I lick him? Or make out with him?" and I was like "...um...close enough?" And then she got to the "I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU THAT I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE WE HIT REDCLIFFE" scene and was like AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA and I was like toooooooold you. But yeah, he's just so...easily punched. Except then I remember he gets popped like a bug and feel a little bad.

Probably for the whole conversation where Morrigan's like "Why Zevran, you've found a new calling--someone's going to have to assassinate people who don't like Alistair as king" and Zevran's like "Why haven't we had sex yet?" and Morrigan's like "I would sooner stab you in the face." ...I just really ( ... )

I DIDN'T KNOW OKAY all I knew was that he was obviously an important NPC because of his voice acting, but he didn't actually do anything that bad! I mean, he was in Howe's prison and that alone made Lin like him, and then I think the worst thing he did was call Zevran, like, razor-ears or something, and I needed his support in the Landsmeet and I DIDN'T KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I liked the first POTC movie . . . the first time around. I didn't find it bore repeated watching at all, and I thought League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was by far the better of the two movies that summer. The second one bored me to pieces . . . as in I spent half the movie thinking about how good the sushi I'd had the day before was. #3 I think I fell asleep for part of it. But I loved the Davy Jones' Locker scene and the turning the ship upside down.

Ack! Dwarves! Hopefully, by the end of the week I can kind of say that too. I'm trying to write about "The Birthday of the Infanta", and the intersection of The Grotesque, Ruskin, Bakhtin, possibly Hegel, Dwarfs, the topos of the Dying Child, and Dickens is wrecking my head. Why does "The Stones of Venice" have to be so long?

ah-hahahahahaha, well, that's one vote. Most people are like "those second two movies were terrible" and I'm like "well, I don't really remember the second one, but the basic plot was okay, but HOMG THE THIRD ONE, IT WAS RIDICULOUS" and I love how ridiculous it was, and how as the audience watching it for the fifth time you start to feel like you understand what's going on in every scene better than the actors do. Heh.

YOU CAN DO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. *raps Dickens on the head and tells him to play nice*

Considering one of those actors is Orlando Bloom, one is Keira Knightley, and one is most likely on something while he phones it in, there's a very good chance you understood the scenes better than the actors the first time around. (I think Orlando Bloom is actually an excellent actor whose skills are completely underused in those movies, but from interviews, I'd never claim he was the brightest button in the box.)

God, I freaking LOVE Dragon Age! But fuck dwarves, man. I'm in my 2nd play through (Fem!City Elf FTW! So intense!) and I'm on my last quest - Orzammar. And I'm all D:

So looooooong! ;_;

And seriously? Alistair doesn't love you yet? B-But he's so easy! Just be nice to him and he loves you! (To the point where my Fem!Tabris is romancing Zevran, and Alistair is practically a stalker. "But Alistair, we're FRIENDS! Friends, I tell you!" / "B-But I love you!" / "*sigh*"

(Turning him down is like kicking a puppy! But Zevran is SO worth it! Everyone gushes over Alistair, but honestly, Zevran is just as good if not better, in some respects)

Annnnnd, I get rambly when it comes to DA:O! XD
Glad you're enjoying it! :)

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH THIS IS JUST MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH SHHHHHHHHHHHH but omg FemCityElf FTW FTW though right now I'm a Fem!Human Mage because I love playing mages. The only quest I have left is the elves, and then to the landsmeet I gooooooooooo. EEK.

YOU CAN BEAT THE DWARVES EVENTUALLY. IT WILL HAPPEN.

well okay he LOVES me he's just not at +90 "please bang me" love-me yet. He's at +85 and we have run out of non-smooching conversation options. /smooches forever

And man I am not playing through with romancing Zevran this time around, but when he first showed up, I was like DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM. He is like Prince Naveen, only with stabbing and a fondness for leather. omg. so hot.

'SOKAY, I GET RAMBLY TOO. WE HAVE RAMBLEFESTS ON MY LJ. :-D

I love your new layout and Alex found cheap housing (with a pool! conveniently located! utilities included!) in Australia - I have absolute confidence you can do it, too

and if there is a gap ... check into the youth hostels. He had a place in a Beach!Hostel for a few days pending a more permanent place to live.
