Today's Writing Effort Second verse, same as the first. James is still sick and so is Sappho. Jenny says she's not sick, which is a miracle since she's been taking care of a sick 4-year-old for the last week. I did animal chores for James, but Jenny says I don't need to do them for her tomorrow. Part of me thinks she's just looking for a reason to have some alone time, even if it means doing chores in Gen Pop.
I'm so dang exhausted. I was supposed to clean the rabbitry today since I didn't get to do it on Thursday, or I was supposed to wash James' laundry. I did neither of those things. I worked on Bastion's ear warmer instead. I had to frog the whole thing and start over from the beginning. This is the first time I've had to do that with a project. I'm sure it won't be the last.
I talked to James in the kitchen for a while and we decided a couple of things. I had proposed that the whole family go together to Las Vegas instead of the split trip that we'd discussed, but with winter finally here with a vengeance, finding someone to house sit for us is going to be impossible. So, we'll go with the original plan. James, Jenny, and Sappho will head down on a Monday, and Jenny and Sappho will come back on Friday. I'll head down on Friday and James, and I will come back on Monday. This way, if we can just get someone to come up and spend the day on that Friday, just to keep the fire going and close the pet flap at sunset and maybe even do the evening watering of Gen Pop, then that would be great. I was thinking that Camel and America would be good to ask. America loves the animals, and Camel is good in a pinch.
We also talked about Bunny Heather. James and I are going to harvest her when he's well enough to do it, and the male in that column too, since we have too many babies. It's sad, but this is the second time she's gotten sick in the last couple of months. I don't think that's good for her, and there's only so many antibiotics that we can give her.
