Hooking Again

Today's Writing Effort

Today was a challenge in a couple of ways and all of it had to do with my stupid broken toe. I had animal chores this morning and shoving my feet into my boots, which are a tight fit, was awful. And while I was at it, I had to move 100 pounds of feed into the house and that always sucks. James may love lifting heavy things. I do not.

I also got an appointment at the vet for Thumper, who was only 10lbs, 5oz. And he's a Flemish Giant. Poor bunny is so skinny. He was born on 05/20/2021, so he's only three years old. They're supposed to be able to live 8-10 years, sometimes up to 12 years, but poor Thumper needs some TLC. I have a feeling that he's going to be an indoor bunny for a while, until we can get him up to weight again. He needs to gain at least five or six pounds since they're supposed to weigh an average of 15 pounds. The vet recommended adding some whole oats to his diet to have him carb up. I stopped by Murdoch's on the way home from the vet and the only size bag that they had was a 50 pound bag. At least we can give it to the other bunnies too and if we have any left in the spring, maybe we can plant some.

James and I had our weekly date tonight where we watched Double Indemnity, which I hadn't seen. I don't know if James had either. It was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

And I picked up my crochet hook again today. I had done a couple of sessions in the last couple of months, but only at the mechanic when I didn't have my laptop and couldn't write. It felt good to get back to my crafting. I'm making a scarf and ear warmer set for Bastion for his belated birthday gift.
