Near Miss With A Deer
Today's Writing Effort
I got up this morning and fed the cats. Then I went back to sleep for a little bit. When I got up again, I took care of the animals before I got ready for my day.
I went to the Cricketry from 12:49-4:18pm today, because I didn't get to collect pinheads yesterday when I was there with James. When I was done with that and a couple of other small tasks, I raced back home to play DCC with Ethan, AJ, Bastion, and maxheadwidth. Camel couldn't make it again. This is the third week in a row, and I feel really bad about that.
We took a dinner break after a while, and I drove Bastion and Ethan into town. We got McDonald's for Bastion and AJ, who had stayed home, and we got Taco Bell for Ethan and I.
The game was super fun and I think that it turned out well, even if there were a lot of character sacrifices that went on.
When we were done, I took Bastion back to Kitty's place in Lolo, getting gas on the way there from the Trucker Mall. On the way there, when we turned off the highway at Lolo, to head the last stretch to Kitty's, I was talking to Bastion about how much I'm terrified of hitting a deer. I'm the only adult in the house with a license that hasn't hit at least one. After I dropped Bastion off, I was on my way back and I was almost to the turn off to the highway, and there was a deer. I managed to stop in time, but it was a near thing. I was, of course, flooded with adrenaline and so glad that I didn't get into an accident.
When I got home, I told James about this, and he gave me a hug.
At the end of the night, I slept in my room with the cats.
