Call Me Jessica Jones

Today's Writing Effort

This morning, when I got up to feed the cats, I stayed up and took care of the bunnies and chickens early. Then I drove Bastion to the bottom of the hill to get on the bus to school because the road to the house is a wet, sloppy, mess and maxheadwidth and I thought that making him walk in that wasn't good. But as soon as he was out of the car and I was back at the house, I went back to bed.

I slept in for a little while longer, actually getting better sleep than the rest of the night. I didn't sleep well because Venus didn't sleep with James and I. She spent the night curled up on my bed while I was upstairs. Yuno was there, but I wanted my baby cat with me too. And I think that I kept thinking that she was locked in a room all night or locked outside, even though I knew that she wasn't in either of those situations.

Anyway, when I got up, I got ready for my day and went into town. James had asked me to take pictures of a building that was going up, so I did, from all sides. I even called the construction company to ask what was being built there and then I sent that information to James and I felt like Jessica Jones a little bit. James and I were talking semi-seriously about me becoming a Private Investigator. I might have the chops for it. I don't know. But it would be interesting I think.

Anyway, when I was done with that, I popped into the ORI office to get the last bit of information I need to update my resume ... finally. Then I dropped something off at the FedEx office on Broadway and went to see oldfellowbunyip.

Dan and I got some good quality Snuggles in and talked a lot about a wide range of topics, and we watched a little TV and had tea and then got some more Snuggle time in before Gina came home.

I stayed long enough to say hi to Gina, but I had to get home to try to get some dinner before doing a Skype meeting with priapussy for his Discernment.

While I was doing that, James was having a meeting with Justin (the Contractor) about invoices and costs and things like that and that went even longer than my meeting did. James and I were going to cook dinner together and eat a late supper, but I was starving and made myself some tuna sandwiches while he and Justin were still talking. I tried to wait, but I just couldn't. But I did help him cook his own dinner after he and Justin were done. Then James, Bastion, and I all sat around the kitchen table and chatted for a little bit before we dispersed to do our various evening activities and duties.

One of the things I had to do was respond to a letter I got from the State of Montana regarding my tax refund. They wanted me to verify my identity so that they could process my refund. I've never had to do that with any tax refund ever. When I use the H&R Block website, signing and affirming the paperwork there should be a pretty good indication that I'm me and not someone else. Also, if it's good enough for the Federal Government, you'd think it would be good enough for the State Government. But apparently not. So I did that and I imagine that the State portion of my refund will take longer to get to me even though I filed Federal and State at the same time. *Grumble*

EDIT:
I sort of helped James clean some things up in and around his room before going to bed. There's only so much I can do because I don't know what to keep and what to toss and where to put things. But I can follow directions pretty well, so that's something at least.
