Today's Writing Effort *Belated Posting*
I got up at 6:00am and fed the cats. Since I knew that I was going to have to go to Biolife after dropping the kids off at school, I took care of the bunnies and chickens even though we're trying to keep the chickens in the coop a little longer because of the lights in there. If they think it's daylight, they come out and get confused when the sun isn't up. But one day probably won't be too hard on them. They're not that bright.
Anyway, after Biolife, I went home because I was exhausted.
And last night, there was a bit of a story. On my way to pick up Dan and Gina at the airport, I got stopped for speeding on the freeway. The state trooper let me off with a warning and I was only a little bit late picking them up at the airport, but since baggage claim was slow as molasses, it all worked out okay.
Once I picked them up, we stopped at Taco Bell because they hadn't eaten for most of the day. Then I took them home and went home myself. I texted Dan when I got home so that he would know that I got there safe. I would have liked to just crawl into bed, but I washed my hair and brushed my teeth and then I went to bed. I knew that I wouldn't get a chance to take a shower in the morning and clean hair was the best I was going to be able to get.
Anyway, I spent most of the day at the house getting some chores done and then I picked up Ethan at school at 3:00pm and we went home and I took a two hour nap.
At 6:00pm, I drove Bastion and Ethan into town to James' office because we were all going to go out to dinner at IHOP, but James had to run one last errand and so he had to meet us there. Thankfully, he had taken the truck into town today.
So we all met up at IHOP and there was only one server. I felt sorry for that poor woman. She gave us free beverages for our long wait and we were there forever. But at least the food was good. Then we all went home and watched a little TV together before going to bed. Though James and I had a little Adult Fun Playtime before we settled down and that really put a smile on my face.
