Out Of Sorts All Over The Place
Today's Writing Effort
Surprisingly, Venus let me sleep in until after Jenny had taken the boys to school/bus stop. One of the benefits of sleeping upstairs with maxheadwidth is that they don't wake me up with all the lights being turned on and all the loud noises. And after I took care of the cats, bunnies, and chickens, I cuddled back in bed with James for another hour or so.
When I got up again, I had to get ready for the day and then hustle to get Venus to her vet appointment on time. I didn't have trouble getting her into the carrier, but she cried all the way to the vet. And I had to stop to get gas on the way, so that was extra time in the carrier. Such a sad kitty. But the visit went well and she got her booster shot. We dropped off AJ's boffing shield at school and then went home.
While I was at the school though, I ran into James. He was there because Bastion had to go home sick. When they arrived home later, he didn't really seem sick, but whatever.
At home, I got to have a tiny amount of downtime before I had to re-fill all of the chicken and bunny water dispensers and make sure their food dishes were secured. I filled the chicken feed dispenser and then gave the chickens some grit and oyster shells and a special treat of egg producer pellets and mealworms. Mmmmm.
Then, I thought I was supposed to pick up Ethan from school, but it turned out that Jenny was picking up him and AJ from school to take them out to dinner at HuHot. I was a little peeved because I could have gone out to see Dan for a bit if I had known that I didn't have to pick up Ethan today. :(
James spent the evening in town working and whatnot and I was on a Skype call with priapussy and the Discernment Committee from 6:30pm-8:00pm or so when Jenny came home with Ethan and AJ. I had tried to get Bastion to eat some food and he was sort of half hearted about it. I felt bad about not making sure that he got a proper dinner, but he's fifteen for Pete's sake. *Le Sigh* I didn't even get dinner at all.
Anyway, when James got home he was trying to get the boys to take showers and do their homework and it took forever. Bastion didn't bathe until after 10:30pm because he wanted a bath and he hates the ground floor shower and all sorts of excuses.
Once I got some stuff done after my meeting, I went to wash the dishes. There's one day where no one is assigned to do dishes or laundry or clean their room, and that day is Monday. So I usually volunteer to do the dishes on that day in addition to my regular day, which is Tuesday. And while I was doing it, Jenny came out of her room and told me that I was being too loud and that I should have done it earlier instead of when people are trying to go to bed. She's the only one who has the luxury of going to bed early and I was pretty pissed off that she had the nerve to complain to me about being loud at a chore that no one else volunteered to do.
Today was pretty much a day for me being out of sorts and on edge, though I don't know why.

After I had gotten ready to go to bed, I went upstairs to say goodnight to James and got to cuddle with him for a little bit, but didn't get to sleep there with him.
