Float Tank Date

Today's Writing Effort

I got up early not just because of Venus, though to be honest, I was up before she started begging for breakfast. I thought I was taking the boys to school today because Jenny wasn't feeling very well. Her depression was getting the best of her. But she got up anyway and took the boys to school. Later in the day, maxheadwidth told me that unless there are special circumstances, Jenny said she would take the boys to school if I would pick Ethan up after school. I think that's totally doable. So from now on, I will take care of the animals in the morning and then I am free to go back to bed if I like. Yay!

So that's what I did today. I went back upstairs to snuggle next to maxheadwidth for a couple more hours. And when I got up for the day, I went to get dressed and Yuno had a coughing fit, so I called the vet and got her an appointment for this morning and took her in. Apparently she had a lung infection, but she also has Feline Asthma. So they gave her a shot that should last a little while and no more coughing for a bit. We have to take her in for shots periodically, but it's not too expensive and is totally manageable.

EDIT:
After I took Yuno home, I had a little time to myself before James came home from town. After a bit, I drove the two of us into town because we had a date at Enlyten Lab, a Float Tank (aka Sensory Deprivation) place. I've always wanted to try one and it was amazing. I was so relaxed that I think I fell asleep at the end. But before that I experienced mild visual hallucinations and also the sensation of being at sea or floating in deep space. It was wild and wonderful.

When we were all cleaned up and ready to leave, we stopped at Shakespeare & Co. to look at books and I ordered something for myself with my birthday gift card and something for a friend.

We were almost home when James asked if we could go back to town to the Good Food store to pick up some veggies. So I turned us around and headed back. I was so into the conversation that James and I were having that I missed a couple of turnoffs to the store and it was really embarrassing. But we got there and got our food and then went home for real.

When we got home, we sat in the car talking for a while until it was time to go in. I was all set to skip my Biolife donation even though I couldn't afford to loose the money, just so that I could spend more time with James. But the kids were home and he had to make sure they got their homework done and all that, so he told me I should just go anyway. So I did.

It took forever because there was a line and they had to slow my donation down a lot and even adjust the needle. *Le Sigh* Either my veins are crappier now or the people here in Missoula don't know what they're doing. I never had this much trouble in Bellingham.

When I got home, I had missed dinner and didn't feel like making myself something. I'd had my post donation snack of beef jerky, so I wasn't starving. I just did some work on my computer until it was time to go to bed with James. We went upstairs and talked and watched some videos and then went to sleep.
