The Great Rabbit Escape

Today's Writing Effort

I got up and took care of the bunnies, chickens, and cats. Or at least I was in the process of doing that. I had gotten to sleep in until 7:00am. I was in the middle of feeding the cats (which I do first so that Venus will stop meeping at me) when I discovered that AJ hadn't gotten up for school. So I woke him up and he scrambled to get ready to go. Jenny was taking them in and she waited as long as she could, but he barely missed the car. So I, in my bathrobe and flip flops drove him down the hill. He had missed the bus. So I drove him into school.

Then I came home and finished taking care of the bunnies and chickens. But I think Yuno didn't get any wet food because if she isn't put in front of it while Venus is eating in the other bathroom, then Venus will go down to the ground floor bathroom and eat all of Yuno's food. *Le Sigh*

I was back in my room when maxheadwidth came out of Jenny's room where he had stayed last night, and he asked me to come up to his room and take a little nap with him. I wasn't really tired, but I wanted an opportunity to cuddle with him. And we tried to leave Venus out of the room, but she stayed outside the door and meeped until we let her in and she cuddled with us.

At least she did until nap time was over and Adult Fun Playtime began. That was really nice. Then James and I took a shower and went about our day.

My day was mostly about setting up dental and vision appointments for the boys and talking to Scott (the handyman) and Shane (the heater repair guy) about awnings and heater repair respectively. I also did some chores around the house and got to eventually watch a show, though it took most of the day to watch it in bits and pieces.

I went to pick up AJ from school. There had been some debate with one of his teachers about child labor laws and whether AJ should be working the hours he works, but in the car he figured out that what his teacher was talking about only applied to people UNDER 16 years old. They wanted him to come into work at 3:30pm, but he said he had a family thing and he actually did. He had a family meeting with James, Ethan, and Mariah at her house. So I dropped him off there and went home.

Once there, I finished up my tasks and got to talk to Dan on the phone because we're not going to be able to go to game tomorrow. Well, James isn't and I didn't want to go without him. It's like our "date night" and it's not a date if we're not together. I also got to talk to my former coven-mate Heather for a while and she got to talk to James too, which was really lovely to facilitate. We both really love Heather. She's a wonderful person.

Over dinner, we got to watch a little bit of Doctor Who, though apparently the fellas watched a couple of episodes without me. Stinkers. And after dinner, we went to put the bunnies and chickens in and one of the chickens was roosting under the coop, so we just left her there since she looked really cozy. But the bigger problem was that it looked like one of the silver bunnies (Nibbleh) got out of the enclosure somehow and we couldn't find her no matter where we looked. We can only hope that she comes back in the morning. *Le Sigh*

However, the icing on the cake today was that I got a belated birthday present from my friend @ Grania3. She sent me a really cute card and a CD of Celtic music that I know I will love.

My evening was capped off by picking AJ up from work at midnight. Blargh. But all in all it was a really good and productive day.
