I Need To Get Back On The Sauce
Today's Writing Effort
I really have to start drinking black tea again. Or maybe just taking more naps. I used to be able to get up at 6:00am no problem, when I had a set schedule and an hour long commute on the bus. Most often I napped on the bus on the way to work anyway. But now, I drove the kids to school today, with the exception of the drive down the mountain, because AJ did that and he wasn't too bad. After dropping of Ethan and Bastion, I drove to my dorm room where maxheadwidth and I had a little time to talk in the truck before I got out and he went about his day.
I went to work later. And work was work. I should have taken a nap though. I was so sleepy. I thought I was going to yawn so wide that my jaw would dislocate and I'd end up swallowing a melon whole or something like that. Anyway, I found out how much I need to pay to finish my initiation dues and I'm going to mail it in tomorrow so that if I ever need to work at a Union grocery store again, I'll be covered. And I'll get my Withdrawal card as soon as the current Payroll snafu is worked out. The card is the thing that says I can work at another Union grocery store again without paying another initiation fee since that is supposed to be a once-per-lifetime fee.
Anyway, after work, I was all ready to walk and/or bus back to my dorm room, but there was this crazy dude talking loudly to himself and I didn't want him following me off into the dark, so I took an Uber back to my place. It felt a lot safer that way.
Tomorrow is my second to last shift at Albertsons. I will be a little relieved when I don't have to work there anymore. I've never had a job that short before, but I guess that's the nature of the beast.
I won't get to see James until after work tomorrow since he's got his class tonight, but we'll be able to do a little something special on Friday and that makes me very happy.
