Here I go again...

Yes folks, its time for my quartly (quarterly) tour of the dieting scene! What's new this week? Well, actually, something that I hope and pray (and the government says) will work. Heard of allï? Its the first ever diet pill that is FDA approved. I've been reading all the literature on the pill, the diet and exercise program that goes with it, and let me tell you, its sounding great! First thing you read is a book called "Are You Loosing (Losing) It?". This book helps you learn if you're truly ready for alli. The first words in the book are this: If you're looking for a quick fix, cure-all, miracle pill, don't buy alli. XD Kick Ass! Truly, a pill that finally tells the truth. In the literature I'm reading now, the more in depth alli information, it talks about how they've been developing this for 22 years now and how in order to use this effectively you MUST eat a low calorie, low fat diet along with regular exercise.

The pills are ... er... i forgot the chemical name (olestra), but its not a fat blocker like all the other things out there. Its a fat burner that moves fat through your body and quickly out the other end. What's the catch? If you eat too much fat per meal, you end up with the runs, frequent trips to the toilet, or oily discharge when you pass gas. So, eat a cheeseburger and you better have your Depends on that day. x.@ Yah, and I want to jump on this bandwagon.

Why am I talking about this here? One of the things that alli says you need to do as part of the overall program is enlist the help of friends and family. Well, if you're able to read this, you are considered a friend close enough to be family (and some of you are honorary family). So I'm going to keep a minimum of weekly, maximum of daily, update here on my progress. I want to be accountable to those that matter most to me.

I plan to start the diet Sunday. I'm going to go a week on the calorie and fat plan as well as exercise plan and see how comfortable I am. That should give my body time to adjust enough that when I start taking the pills I won't have 'effects'. I am NOT buying adult diapers for a diet. Blek! XP What are some of my goals? Well, my first goal is to get down to 5% of my starting weight. When I reach that goal, I'm going to treat myself to a pedicure or manicure, depending on if I have longer nails by then. Once I reach my first goal I'll make my second, so as not to get ahead of myself and all that. My ultimate goal? To get as far under 200 lbs as I can. Why? I want to be a mother more than I've ever wanted anything. We're close to having a home to put the children in, so now I need to work on getting baby-fit!

I'm going to keep a daily food journal to track my calorie and fat intake, my exercise, and my moods. I'll post progress here. *hugs* Thanks to all those who are ready to support me. It means the world. :D

EDIT: Thanks to my husband, the walking Roget's Desk Reference Set (Thesaurus and Dictionary). His comments are in ( )
