I'm Still Here!
So, I survived the surgery. It was tough with the pain and all and the nurses put me on morphine through the IV which made me so sick. I have never thrown up as much as I did that day. After 5 hours of all that fun, the evening nurse got smart and asked the doc to order me another painkiller that wouldn't make me sick. They took me off the morphine and started giving me shots of Demorol with something for nausea-in the butt. Ouch-but it was better than getting sick every hour! Kenny brought me home yesterday and got me a couple of presents. I got a really cute, soft white stuffed animal-a bunny with a yellow bow around its neck whose name is Carrots T. Bunny, and a book by Tyler Perry about Madea. (She was one of the main characters in Diary of a Mad Black Woman-such a funny lady!) I can't think of the title off the top of my head but I can't wait to read it. Now that I'm home, I have to concentrate on drinking lots of fluids, keeping the wounds cleaan and dry (YUCK!) and walking. I've been told the more I walk, the less I'll end up hurting *crossing fingers*. The doctor told Kenny that my gall bladder was chronically inflamed and there were stones in it, and he's sure that was what was causing me to be sick. Well, just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm still alive and I'm surviving!
