car troubles.
it's been four months already, and my car STILL isn't fixed. i've been listening to my dad for at least a month tell me that he's been waiting on just one part. HA. the months have been bearable for the simple fact it was summer, and i didn't really have much to do. half way through my dad finally let my sister drive his spare truck, and i've just been using her jeep. of course all good things can't last forever, and both my dead car, and my dad's truck tags have expired. today i got a nice reminder from my sister that her car was still hers, and she expects it back promptly on wednesday. unfortunately for a car-less me, the world still goes on.. and there are still places (work, and school) i'm required to be. i attempted to ask my dad what the plan was going to be car-wise, and of course he got frustrated and just started barking excuses rather than actual answers. from what i understand, i think we are going to emissions tomorrow after my class, then hopefully it passes, then it's back to the MVA to get stickers. fingers crossed anyway.
last week was the first week of classes, and they were alright. i'm not taking any classes i really am interested in, just a bunch of general ed. classes that i've missed. the first week is always so frantic, this year they accepted something like a six percent increase from last year so the parking lots are full. i have to leave almost an hour and a half before my class to allow enough time to find parking. :[ hopefully people will start dropping, and things will calm down.
on the bright side today i worked 8 hours, while being paid time and half. :] yesss. i also got the new valencia cd a couple of days ago, and i haven't been able to take it out of my cd player yet. new music is always so good.
