I go to the same movie theatre nearly every week. It's a normal megaplex affair, which amazingly huge screens and stadium seating and many wonders. The problem is that's a Regal Cinema, and as such, before the movie it features the biggest bane of my theatre-going existance, the Regal Cinema's First Look.

They're basically extended trailers/PR fests for upcoming movies that air in place of the usual slides with inane trivia. That's fine, in and of itself, except it's always for the most annoying, horrible movie ever made, and the past few weeks, it's been worse then ever, because the First Look has been for I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Thus, I've been treated to Adam Sandler punching the guy from King of Queens in the face about six times at this point. And as much as we all might like to punch the guy from King of Queens in the face, it does somewhat dampen the experience to know that apparently in the year 2007 it's still funny for a guy to punch another guy in the face for trying to kiss him. If my theatre-mates are to be believed, it's actually fucking hilarious.

It makes me a little sick to my stomach, but whatever. Thanks, Alexander Payne! You can polish your Oscar in Hell with several of the gillions of dollars you get from this crap.
