Hello, Goodbye... goodbye.

Tonight was fun. Fun and fun filled.

The day started off with a phone call from my mom, awaking me at a bright and early 10:47. She told me the "eye glasses place" as she called it, had left her a message and that my new glasses were ready to be picked up, but they close at Noon. Fine, I have to go to work anyway. I pick up my glasses around11:30. I like the optometrist, it's the only doctor that I leave every year with something new: a pair of glasses. The dentist is too painful, and the physician is too embarrassing, so the optometrist is the way to go for me. By the way, the specs look hot.

I took a 12 O'Clock train into New York, and started to hand out flyers at 2. After an hour and a half of only handing out maybe 5 flyers, I decided that I just needed to smile. So, I hopped on the 6 train, took it to Astor Place and walked down to 4th Street and 2nd Avenue, because I knew the New York Theatre Workshop was around there. And there it was. From all I knew about RENT, it was kind of surreal to be there. I just soaked it all in, but at the same time not trying to look like a stereotypical theatre kid/RENT-head. I then left as soon as I came, hoping to catch the 5:02 train home (even though my shift ended at 7). I needed to get of there anyway, after receiving a text from Sarah that we were to congregate at the local Friendly's for Ashley's last day on Long Island.

I was excited to be a part of this. Ashley is one of my closest and dearest friends, although I don't know if she'd say the same about me. I walked into the restaurant to see that Ashley, Sarah and Dan were already sitting down, waiting for the rest of the party to show up. Cat and Jessie arrived "27 minutes late" as Ashley put it, but we still managed to finish our meals at the same time and get out of there.

I followed Ashley and Sarah and Jessie and Cat, in her car, to pick up her paycheck. I went into Gamestop to say hello to Marcus, who was really surprised to see me. After I had over stayed my welcome, I peer out the window to find that the ladies had gone, so I call them and we decide that I were to pick up Dan and meet them at Jones Beach, which we did.

When Dan and I found the girls, they were watching an old doo wop group, SOUNDTRAC, perform. It was surprisingly entertaining and we had SO much fun. This was definitley a highlight of Summer.

When it was time to leave, Erik called, so it was my job to pick him up, which I did, with Dan in the car alongside me. After we got Erik, we all headed down to The Cup. After that was ove rwith, I dropped Dan off at his house, and Erik and I made our way back to my house. We see the girls sitting in Cat's car and as them if they wanna spend the rest of the night at my house. It's agreed upon.

So, Erik, Ashley, Cat, Sarah and Jessie were all at my house till around 3. I loved it. It was without a doubt the most "in" I had felt in a long while.

I drove Sarah, Jessie, Ashley and Erik home. When I dropped Ashley off, I got out of my car and just gave her the biggest hug I could. As we embraced, I felt all of these emotions wash over me. I knew that that would be the last moment we talked as good solid friends. We were each going our separate ways and knew our attempts to stay in touch would fall apart in time. But who knows.

All in all, I had a great night, and I am in the mood to sleep. God knows I need it. Goodnight, folks.
