So there I was, just walking Bingo, when a little girl came up to me and said, apropos of nothing, "Excuse me. I don't like dogs." I was stunned, and rather amused, and just said, "Oh... Okay." And then she swanned off--probably to inflict more prejudice on innocent animals.
It's a good thing that Bingo's English isn't very good. But I tried to console him anyway. "It's okay, Bingo. How can she say that, huh? She doesn't even know you!" And then I noticed a woman nearby who was looking at me funny.
Note to self: I guess some people don't talk to their pets--at least, not in public.
