Eep! I didn't think anyone else would ever even read this thing, let alone enjoy it, so seriously, thank you!

I'll admit, this story idea was a lot of fun when I was working on it. I got to try my hand at humor-while-writing-torture-fic, which turned out to be something I actually found fun to do (as I'm sure you can tell, lol), crazy!Madeline and her thoughts on Nikita were incredibly fun to write because Madeline could be more honest with herself and with the narrator when crazy, somehow, and the ending, despite being part of a fic that will never actually be completed, is probably my favorite TR scene of the stories I've written - because it was my first. Lol. That ending bit was the very first LFN anything I'd ever written, and the rest came later (the original idea for the story, as lame as this probably sounds, was to number each section chronologically, but then actually put them in the post out of order, so that you got the story in dribs and drabs, and by the end, you knew all of what happened - and part 25, the ending, was going to be the first posted part).

I will say, the intended plot points that never got written leaned more damsel-in-distress, which is probably why I was never able to write them. Lol. And then there was this really weird arc where Paul doesn't want to see her tortured, but she basically threatens to never forgive him if he gives up Section, so he "breaks" and gives them the location of one of the empty, spare Section compounds, knowing that they'll be killed two minutes after they walk in the door by whatever security system that's lying in wait. The Collective is... less than happy about losing an entire team of their already fairly small group, and there's very nearly a blood bath, but Section manages to track them back there because they have the dead bodies of the Collective folks who busted into spare!Section, and somewhere along the way, Paul and Madeline escape - and Nikita, having a moment of being Nikita, lets them go and reports that they were found dead, but their bodies were lost in random explosion that she had set off so as to cover up their escape.

Um, was a very weird, twisty, convoluted plot. Lol.

Like I said, I'll probably (read: definitely) never finish this, but it'll always hold a special place in my heart as my first attempt at writing LFN fic. <3

Actually, I really like your idea about how you were going to post the story. It is always kind of fun to have a mystery of putting all the pieces together.

I know that you say that this fic isn't complete, but in a way, the fic reads like it is complete. The missing parts seem to fit in with the whole drugged surreal atmosphere of the first part.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this fic is and I would recommend that you put it on the Section One fan fic Comm because it is truly great and I think that others would like it as well!
