Wow - what a weekend

Where oh where did my weekend go??

Took a half a day on Friday so that I could head over to Ikea to get the bed for the guest/hobby room. First off they didn't have the frame or mattress I wanted so I had to get the next step up - no biggy only about another $50 overall. And I really should have waited and gone with a second person. It was a nightmare getting all of this into one of the regular carts (where the wheels go every direction) along with the glass stuff that I'd picked up along the way (new white wine and red wine glasses).

Next feat was getting these boxes and rolled up mattress into my Focus. **snort** I knew they'd fit length wise but didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to turn them on end to make them fit between the two front seats. Oh well - they ended up fitting on an angle - sub-woofer in trunk made it a tad tricky. Anyway - got it all in and home.

Saturday we were off early to see the Cleopatra exhibit at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia - our last planned date for this had to be scrubbed because the President and Vice President were going to be in town stumping for some local people. **sigh** Knew they were going to majorly f**k up traffic in the area for most of the afternoon. Anyway - exhibit was nice though the audio stuff was a bit distracting and a little to long. Also people didn't understand that they could move around while listening to the audio piece as it was more about this period of her life and not about the specific item you were looking at.

After Cleopatra it was off to Pat's for our yearly cheese-steak adventure. The line at both Pat's and Geno's were nuts. When we got there the line at Pat's was around the front and side of their building and when we were leaving it was starting to go around the back of the building. :)

Since we'd only done the Cleopatra part of the Franklin and lunch we were home mid afternoon so we had time to put the bed together before I was off again. Managed to get the bed together and mattress opened up and then it was off to take my niece out to dinner and the bookstore. After we were done (with an additional stop at Best Buy) I dropped her off at her house and ended up hanging out for about an hour chatting with my sister.

Sunday I decided I wanted to check out the Home Goods store in Collegeville before grocery shopping. Three hours later drug everything into the house, put away the groceries and then collapsed onto the sofa to catch up on the DVR stuff.

Now just need to stop and pick up a gift for my nephew's girlfriend's birthday and I'm good to go! :)
