blah, blah, blah a general update
Just some general updates:
Things at work are moving along quite well. Effective 8/1 (or there abouts) I will no longer be supporting H. There could be a few days of overlap but nothing major. May also be moving my cubical once again - this time I'd actually be right outside S's office where, in all honesty, I should be. Anyway - H is trying to get a meeting with B and B and I would hope after that meeting happens I should have a better idea of where she's going and what I'm going to need to do to facilitate this change.
Vacation was WONDERFUL! Packed the car so full I wasn't sure it was going to move but it did! Spent a lovely week in South Bethany, DE with the entire family. Spent some on the beach, shopping in town with Mom and on the boardwalks (we're close to Rehoboth and Bethany in Delaware and Ocean City, MD boardwalks). Actually went mini-golfing for the first time in YEARS! LOL - yeah I sucked, came in second to last. Oh well it was fun and really all our scores were pretty damn close. We got our family Christmas picture taken while we were there - they turned out great! And I gots to see lots and lots of dolphins in the water. :)
Friday of vacation we packed the car back up to head over to the Baltimore area for Shore Leave, however this time we needed to leave space for a third body in the car. :) Managed to leave plenty of space for A and her little bit of luggage. Timing really couldn't have been better. I was a bit concerned about getting there too late but as we got close her plane had just landed and she had plenty of time to get her luggage and find a nice visible place to wait for us.
Shore Leave was pretty good - relaxing. Was great hanging out with friends. Didn't have many panels that I really wanted to see. Actually went to a fan discussion panel for The Big Bang Theory - nothings better than starting a panel with a round of Warm Kitty, Soft Kitty! LOL! Will be interested in seeing what we do going forward with this con. Thinking about dropping it down to a day trip status - will still book the hotel for next year but will wait and see what happens in regards to the guest list.
Had a birthday yesterday and it was pretty lovely. Got myself some Walkers! :) Know what I'm watching this weekend. Went out to a relatively new place for dinner last night and my was it yummy and dayum so was Francesco. After dinner it was off to see Despicable Me. OMG! So very funny! A lot of the comedy (especially with the Minions) reminded me of the Roadrunner and Coyote. Light...Bulb! **snicker** Yeah I may have to own this when it's released on DVD.
So yeah it was a busy time and it was busy coming back to the office. I'm looking forward to this weekend when I don't have much more than going to my parents house on Saturday night for my B-day dinner. Weather's been soooo dry until this week that I really don't need to do much mowing outside (on section of the lawn looks like it needs it). I need to do some laundry, grocery shop and do some cleaning. So I plan to spend the majority of my time hanging out in my lovely a/c this weekend.
