The review of the decade is on hold for a bit as I’m suffering from vertigo. However if I’m back on track by the weekend, I will be starting the other half of the project - namely declaring what was BEST. Can’t quite decide if I should go with individual posts or a traffic baiting “Top 10″ post (actually probably Top 20 or 30).

This past weekend I went up to Leeds for the Leeds International Film Festival’s anime programming (which is also part of the Thought Bubble comic con). A bit of hike, but they had Summer Wars and Angel’s Egg on. Director Tsuneo Kobayashi doesn’t have many credits up on ANN, but what he directed in the 00s make an interesting handful of shows. The first is this adaptation of Mihona Fuji’s manga of about three girls in the kogal subculture. DYNAMIC SIDEBURNS - a blog about the characters from Go Nagai/Dynamic Productions who have a certain, similar, look. It might reappear as a proper post some day. But in the meantime a tumblr’s a good place to dump ideas.

Friend of Brack, Grace (the artist formerly known as baggypantsu) has a new blog - blog log og, which has introduced me to this Google Friend Connect thingy. I have no idea how it works, but the idea seems to be to attach the old Livejournal “friends” concept across a variety of platforms (my site being wordpress powered, Grace’s blogger powered).
