Tears were streaming down Faith's face. She ran as fast as she could, as far as she could, heading towards what she hoped was home. After a while, she felt a stitch in her side and had to sit down. Then, she got a ride into town. By the time she got back to the city, it was early morning and she had no idea where to go. She headed for one of the near by Cathedrals and sat down in a pew in the back of the church, staring at her surroundings. She sat there wanting to just scream and cry. "I'm such an idiot." She muttered.
"That's a weird way to start a prayer, chica." A voice commented from behind her.
Faith made a noise of surprise and jumped, she turned to see someone sitting behind her, "I wasn't praying." She said, annoyed, "Now who are you?"
"Gabe Saporta, and if I may say so myself, you don't look all that stupid." He shrugged, "Then again, you never know. Looks are deceiving."
Faith rolled her eyes, "Well I am... I did something stupid..." She sat back down in the pew, her back to Gabe.
He leaned forward and folded his arms up on the back of the pew beside her. "Now, what would that be?"
"Why do you care?"
"I'm curious, and bored."
"Good for you."
He smiled, "Oh, I like you."
Faith rolled her eyes, "How nice."
"So, what's your story?"
She shrugged, "I kissed someone I shouldn't have."
"That's hardly a reason to be stupid."
"Yes, it is..." She looked down, "I kissed a Vampire."
He waved a hand dismissively, "Oh, please. If I had a nickle for every vampire I've kissed, I'd be very rich."
She rolled her eyes, "Well, maybe it's all fine and dandy for you but I'm ashamed... and my Priest who raised me would be so ashamed of me."
"Anyone ashamed of love is wrong." He told her simply.
A boy carrying a large box of items came over to Gabe, "Stop bothering people, Gabe." He said and looked at Faith, "You can move if you want. I'll make sure he doesn't follow you."
She looked up at the boy and shrugged, "It doesn't matter." But she looked at Gabe, "I don't love him."
"But that's the start of something right? And it was mutual?" Gabe kept on.
"It's not the start of something and it can not be the start of something. I hate Vampires." Faith looked away.
"But you kissed one." Gabe stated. "Are you a hunter?"
Faith nodded, "Yeah, I am."
“Well, that's your problem." He told her.
The boy next to him rolled his eyes.
"The kiss was a stupid mistake. I'm not gonna let it happen again."
Gabe sighed, "What crew do you roll with?
"Fall Out...or whatever it is Joe refers to them as."
The boy dropped what he was holding and stared at Faith, Gabe's eyes widened.
She turned and looked at them, "What?"
"You were with Fall Out Boy? The ones who have Brendon Urie?" The tiny brunette asked.
Faith stared at the boy, "Yeah..."
"Oh my God. Don't tell anyone that." Gabe said, suddenly quiet.
"Is he okay, though? He's not hurt or something, right?"
It was Gabe's turn to roll his eyes, "Ryan, hush. We don't want to attract attention."
"What is going on?" She asked, eyeballing the one known as Ryan, "He's fine... hungry but fine."
“William Beckett is mad." Gabe said.
"Oh my God. That is so the understatement of the century." Ryan commented.
"Well, we figured he would be mad." Faith shrugged.
"The city has been completely peaceful at night." Ryan told her.
"What?" She stared at him.
"Yeah. Deathly silent."
"Not even vampire bats!"
"… Which means William is preparing for war."
Faith sighed, "Oh, jeez." She got to her feet, "You know... I don't even care... they can have the worthless idiot. He is doing us absolutely no good."
Ryan frowned, "Hey. That's my friend you're talking about."
She looked at him, "I really don't care. He's annoying, crude, and almost went to the sun this morning until I stumbled upon him by accident. So, I really don't care what he even does anymore."
"Oh... I get it now." Gabe said with a smirk.
Faith looked at Gabe, "What are you talking about?"
"He's the one you kissed."
The color drained from her face, "No, he is not." She said quietly.
"Oh, by that reaction, yes, he is."
She rolled her eyes, "Why do you even care? It was a stupid mistake anyway."
"Why do you think it was a mistake?" Ryan asked curiously.
"Because... I can't stand Vampires and I definitely do not want to be kissing one."
"Well... can you at least tell us where they are?"
"No I'm not going to tell you that."
"Jeez, Ryan, I thought you were contradictory." Gabe commented.
"Well, why not?" Ryan asked Faith, ignoring Gabe.
"I can't tell you." Faith said with a shrug.
"Why?" Ryan was persistent.
"Because I'm not getting in trouble with the others."
"Look, I am... or was, his best friend." Ryan pulled out his wallet and thumbed through a few pieces of paper before pulling out a picture of him and Brendon when he was human out in pure sunlight.
Faith took the photo and stared down at it. Brendon had an arm around Ryan and he was smiling. His skin looked warm and his smile was big and bright. She gave a small smile, "This... that's a lovely photo." She handed it back to Ryan with a sigh.
“I last saw him in Vegas... we got split up. I was supposed to be looking after him." Ryan said sadly.
She looked up at him, "It's....it's not your fault." Faith said instantly.
He looked at her with big sad eyes, "It is. We got into a fight...I shouldn't have... Spencer went after him, I stayed with our friend Jon. Then they both..."
Faith looked down and sighed, "I'm sure he doesn't blame you though."
"Please, I just want to see him. I won't turn him back into William or anything." Ryan begged, a notion that got a look from Gabe.
She rolled her eyes, "They are two towns over at an old abandoned farm, about an hour and a half from here."
"Thank you!" He nearly hugged her.
"You didn't hear it from me, though." She turned away again, staring at the crucifix on the wall, "I just can't ever face Brendon again."
"Girl, you take things way too seriously." Gabe said with a bit of sass.
Faith shrugged, "I am not dealing with it, I have too much to worry about."
"Like?" Gabe just wouldn't stop. Ryan was pulling out maps and finding their way out of town.
“Will you leave me alone?" She fussed.
"No." He smiled.
"Look I'm currently homeless, jobless, an orphan, and all of this other stuff is on top of me! The last thing I need to be worrying about is a stupid, crude, obnoxious vampire."
"He's not stupid." Ryan defended, "Obnoxious, yeah.”
"Whatever, I just can't be bothered with it right now."
Gabe grinned, "What I wanted to hear. I have a job for you, if you're interested. It pays extremely well."
She frowned, "What is it?"
"You're interested. Perfect. Come with us." He clapped his hands, "Up-up, Ryan."
The boy looked at him, "I am not a dog."
"Well, you have all the same traits."
"No, I'm not going anywhere with you." She said, crossing her arms, "I don't even know you."
"You trusted a hungry baby vampire. You can trust us."
"I never trusted him." She replied coolly.
"But you kissed him." Ryan and Gabe said in sync.
“By mistake!"
"Look, what do you have to lose?"
"A lot."
"Your life doesn't count."
Faith frowned, "You are not helping your case at all."
"Then, how about paying you enough to say, oh... rebuild a church?"
She stared at him, "Fine.... I'll come with you."
"Awesome." He grinned again, Ryan shook his head and grabbed his things before heading out of the church with Gabe.
Faith followed.

Sierra woke up to Thomas wrapped around her from the waist-up. Blake was sleeping on her thighs with his arms holding onto her knees. She rolled her eyes, "Guys." She moved just a bit.
Thomas made a noise in his sleep and he just turned his head in his sleep.
Greta was stirring and she slowly sat up, "Morning... or evening." She began to slowly rub the sleep out of her eyes.
Patrick saw her and help up a finger to his lips and pointed at Sierra and the boys.
"Guys, this is not funny." Sierra said, glaring at Patrick.
"Oh, it kind of is." Greta smiled. She laughed then looked over, "Ah... Faith's bed is empty."
Patrick turned and saw it too, "Maybe she went out." Sierra sighed and carefully pinched both of the boys in their sides
Thomas made a noise and got up, "What was that for?" He fussed.
“I can't move."
"Oh, don't be such a sourpuss." She combed her fingers through his hair that had gone wild in the night.
Thomas rolled his eyes and then looked, "Hey, where's Faith?"
"We think she's gone out. We need to probably go find her." Patrick said.
Greta nodded in agreement, "Let's go."
Sierra wasn't as nice with Thomas as she was with Blake, she simply kicked him off the big bed, "Faith's missing, we're going after her."
"Mmkay."
By then, Brendon and Pete were coming up. Brendon's hands were slightly burned from staying out too long.
Greta walked outside with Patrick and looked around, "No sign of her..." She said slowly.
"That's not good." Patrick said.
Greta continued to look around, "Maybe Pete or Brendon can smell her out or something." She shook her head at how odd that sounded.
"Oh, joy, being used as a dog now." Brendon commented from behind them.
Greta looked and shrugged, "Sorry."
"You're really not." He replied.
She frowned, "Yes, I am."
"Please, don't even fake being nice anymore." He said walking past her into the waist high grass, pretending to look just so he could get away without them thinking anything.
Greta looked at Patrick, a look of confusion on her face.
"That was... random." Patrick said, equally confused.
"No kidding." Thomas commented, looking at Brendon. He however went off and began to look around for Faith. They searched for ten minutes, but it didn't take long to gather Faith was long since gone.
"Who was the last person to see her?" Greta asked, looking at their group.
Brendon didn't bother to speak up.
Sierra shrugged, "I last saw her when we all went to bed."
Greta and Thomas both nodded, "Yeah...that's when we last saw her."
"All right...so did she just hop up and leave?" Patrick asked.
"It looks like it." Greta answered, looking around as if expecting Faith to pop out at them.
"It's not like she could have been kidnapped right?" Blake asked.
Sierra looked at Blake, "We'd know... Faith can kick anyone's ass and you know that."
"All right, true." He admitted, "Then I guess she just ditched."
"Yeah but....why?" Greta asked. She sat down in the grass and sighed, "I don't like this...we should go find her."
"Maybe she was just done with the whole thing." Brendon said, "It wasn't exactly as if she was happy here."
"Well I mean... she has just lost her home." Thomas said slowly, looking to Sierra and Greta.
"I still think we should check with her....she would have at least told Sierra and I if she was leaving." Greta said.
Patrick's phone chimed. It was a video message from Dirty. In the video was Faith with two other guys talking. "Hey, guys... I think I know where Faith is."
Greta looked at him, "Where?"
Brendon glanced at the phone and saw one familiar person, "With Gabe Saporta... you guys are screwed."
Pete recognized the name, "We need to leave now."
"Is that good or bad?" Thomas asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm guessing it bad." Sierra answered.
Brendon had a grin, "Gabe is William's right-hand man for anything dealing with affairs in the day. Actually, Gabe does night too."
"Oh great." Greta sighed, "We need to go now."
"I'm driving!" Pete called as he walked towards the car.
"Oh joy! We're all gonna die!" Greta cheered.
Patrick sighed and followed him. Sierra cast a nervous glace at Thomas before walking with them.
Greta got into the backseat, "Hey what about Brendon?" She asked Patrick, looking towards Brendon.
"Come on!" He called.
Brendon hopped in, "I was hoping you all forgot about me."
"No, you're the reason we're doing this." Blake said.
"Oh, don't I feel special."
Pete took a glance at the other vampire in the rear view mirror. Something had definitely changed about him.
Greta exchanged a look with Sierra, "Come on, let's go."
Pete started the car and took off, leaving all the passengers to hold on for dear life.
The place Gabe brought Faith looked like a makeshift courtroom. It was swarming with vampires that looked at the three like the best meal they could ever have. The boys brushed off the looks and sat at what would be the defendant side.
Faith stared at Gabe, "This is where you've brought me?" She hissed, "I could kill you."
"Oh, calm down. You'll be fine."
She rolled her eyes and sat down next to him, "Why are we here?"
"Lord Beckett would like a word with you."
Faith's eyes went wide, "Oh, no...oh hell no."
"He's not going to kill you." Ryan said reassuringly.
"Oh, yeah, like I believe that." She snapped.
"Look, it's only right, you did try to kill one of his friends, then you took him hostage and took advantage of him."
"I did not take advantage of him." Faith said in a dangerously low whisper. Anger and hate was echoing in her voice.
"Whatever," Gabe waved a dismissive hand, "All I'm saying is that it'd be extremely rude to not hear him out. Besides, he is paying you." He had a good way of twisting words to make you see valid points in things that were most likely wrong.
Faith rolled her eyes, "When we get out of here, I better not ever see you again." She sat down on the other side of Ryan with a scowl on her face.
"No promises!"
"You come near me again and I'll kill you." She said simply.
"Then you'd really be on William's bad side."
"I don't even care at this point." Faith muttered.
"Guys." Ryan interrupted, "Calm down. Neither of you are in a position to bicker."
Both of them were going to fuss at him when everybody went dead silent. They could see why. William Beckett walked in, looking prim and proper. He was dressed in classic clothes along with a cane to complete his outfit. All the vampires that were mulling around filed out of the room instead of staying. Only one of William's followers stayed along with the trio.
Faith stared up at William, he was intimidating to say the least. She kept her lips pursed shut however.
Instead of going up to where the judge would sit, William pulled up a chair to sit directly in front of Faith. "Hello." He greeted.
"Uhm....hello...your...uhm, Lordship." She felt awkward and didn't know how to properly greet him.
He raised an eyebrow, "Don't worry about titles. We are in the twenty-first century."
"Oh... all right... sorry." Faith normally would be giving her two cents worth, but she had no desire to be killed today.
"So, you tried to kill one of my good friends, then proceeded to keep him." William just cut right to the chase. "If you wanted my attention, I must say, you have it."
"It wasn't my idea to take him but," Faith shrugged, "I only tried to kill him because I thought my friend's life was in danger."
William just looked at her, expecting more, as if he wanted something.
She looked at William, "All... I can say is.... my other motive for attacking.... you all destroyed my home. As weird as that sounds... the church is my home because I was orphaned when I was little and the church took me in. I was angry and upset... I just.... if you are planning something worse to the city I just beg that you don't."
William sighed, "This is simply nature. Survival of the fittest."
She sighed and looked down, "Then why do you even have me here if that's your answer?"
"I would think you'd barter with something less. When they come to us or have something we want, most people want money, drugs, sex, immortality, excreta, excreta."
She looked down, "I want my church rebuilt."
"I can give you that, all you have to do is get Brendon back to us." William said.
She nodded, "I'll see what I can do."
"If you do get him for me, I promise no other harm with come to your church by us."
"How can I know you'll keep your word?"
His lips twitched into a smile, "Oh, the puns I could answer that with."
Faith sighed and looked away.
"You have multiple witnesses to support your claim and my word." William pointed out.
"I don't." Ryan pipped up.
Faith looked at him, then back to William, "Still."
"Well, what else can I give you to assure you of my promise?"
"I don't know."
"Then, this is all you can get."
She sighed, "Fine."
William nodded, "It's a deal then. I suggest you hurry too, I don't like waiting too long."
"Very well." Faith got to her feet and looked to Gabe, "Are you at least going to show me out?"
"Better yet! I'll get you a ride back to your friends." Gabe looked at Ryan, "What? Oh come on. I am not being seen in that car of yours."
She rolled her eyes, "I don't need a ride."
"Top gun wants it fast, and getting back to the farmland where they are by foot isn't the best method of travel." Gabe said.
"Well I don't need a ride from you."
"Not me, Ryro here."
She rolled her eyes, "Fine."
Ryan sighed, he didn't seem too thrilled either.
"Let's go then." Faith turned to William, "Uhm, thanks."
William waved goodbye, "Hope to see you again."
She didn't respond, Faith was hoping she'd never have to see William Beckett ever again. She waved and turned, looking to Ryan to lead the way out.
Gabe handed Ryan a set of car keys, "Wreck her and you're done." Ryan rolled his eyes and started walking. When they got outside, Ryan searched and stopped at an old Deloran.
"Oh, how stylish." Faith said sarcastically.
"I know." He sighed.
Faith opened the car door and got in, a scowl on her face.
"You're going to have to tell me where to go." Ryan said getting in the car.
"If they are even still there." She muttered. They had pulled out and were about to get on the highway when Pete's car sped by, "Well.... look at that."
"Damn! That was them wasn't it?"
She nodded, "Yep."
“Hold on.” He warned, just as he turned the wheel all the way to nearly flip them over.
“Jeez!” Faith shouted.
Ryan sped up to the other car. One thing about Gabe that was good; he liked fast and this car had a huge engine under the hood.
Faith looked out her window as they sped up alongside Pete. She pointed to a parking lot to indicate where they should stop.
Pete slowed to a stop in the parking lot.
The group in the car nearly ran out of it.
Faith sighed as Ryan pulled the car to a stop, she was suddenly stressing about facing Brendon.
“As much as I want to see Brendon right now, you should probably go talk to him first.”
She looked at him, “I'm... scared.” Faith sighed, she had never told anyone she was scared of anything.
“It's okay. He's going to be a little bitter... but just ignore him. Talk to your other friends.”
“That's what I'm scared of.” She muttered. Faith pulled her hair back, grimacing at how dirty it felt. Slowly, she stepped out of the car.
“Are you all right?” Patrick asked instantly.
“I'm fine.” Faith answered.
“What happened?” Sierra asked, “You just left.”
Faith inhaled, she glanced at Brendon then to Sierra, “I.... I had a bad feeling... I had to get back. I was afraid something had happened to Father John.” She lied quickly.
Brendon rolled his eyes, “Then how come you were hanging out with Gabe Saporta?”
She frowned, “Well, after I saw Father John and made sure he was okay, I went to a church to confess....and Gabe was there with Ryan, your friend.”
“Gabe's Jewish.” Brendon told her, “And I don't have a friend named Ryan.”
She rolled her eyes, “Yes, you do. He showed me photos of when you were human.”
The driver's side of the car opened and out came Ryan Ross, “Hey, Brendon.”
Brendon's crossed arms dropped; he was completely stunned.
Faith looked at the two, then to Patrick and Pete. She nodded to indicate they needed to talk alone.
Both the boys nodded, and moved away.
Faith followed them, “Look... we need to just let Brendon go back to William... otherwise he is waging war on this city.” She glanced at Pete, “I don't really believe him but he says if I do this he'll pay me enough to rebuild my church.”
“Well, that's great for you, but it leaves us stuck just how we were.” Pete said.
She rolled her eyes, “Well, I don't want war!”
“No dice, this is a chance we can't get back.”
Faith sighed, “Fine... whatever. But I'm taking my trust fund money and getting Father John out of here. You guys can rot for all I care!” She shouted.
Ryan was in the midst of a long conversation with his old friend when he heard Faith and frowned. “That didn't sound good.”
“I'm not staying behind and getting myself killed because you are too stupid.” Faith turned, “I tried to get them to let you go, they won't listen. I'm out of here.” She began to walk off.
“Wait, Faith!” Ryan called, “You can't break a deal with William!”
She stopped, “Well, if I get killed, I get killed!” Faith shouted, “Pete and Patrick don't give a fuck!”
“That's not what we said!” Patrick called.
“Yeah, well, it's either we let them have Brendon so I can re-build my church, or war breaks out and I get killed!”
“Look, we can work it out.” Patrick told her, sighing.
She sighed, “I'm tired... and I'm sad. This city is just too much. Just let me go. I promised William I'd get him Brendon... you aren't helping me out. I'm not fighting in a war. I just want to go.”
"Listen." Brendon interrupted, "We're all going to see William right now. Pete, I suggested you sort out your shit and decide what you want now if I'm your barter chip. I'm throwing myself in." He was in a mood not to be reckoned with.
Faith looked at Brendon and sighed, "Can I talk to you... for a moment please?"
He looked at her for a moment, "No." He walked over to one of the cars and got in.
She frowned, and then got in the car with him, "Look... stop being stupid. I don't care what you think of me...and I don't even know why I'm doing this... but I'm sorry about last night. It was stupid, immature, and childish. You scare me.... but what scared me worse was how I felt last night." Faith looked down, "I enjoyed that kiss far too much than I like to admit. So, I'm apologizing right now for what I did. I don't know what you want out of me and I don't know what the hell I want... but... I'm sorry."
That hurt Brendon. He felt somewhat used and ashamed of himself. "Faith, I told you things that I have never told anyone else and I have no idea why I did it." He told her instead, "I haven't felt this way in a long time. The last person I kissed from you was... well, it was Ryan. Spencer dared us while we were drunk." He looked out the window at his friend who was being somewhat interrogated by the others. "If you don't want me, then fine. I get it, but don't play with me like a toy. It's all or nothing."
She looked down at her hands, "I.... you are the only person I've ever kissed before." Faith looked out at Ryan as well, "I don't know what to do. I want to know you... but..." She buried her face in her hands, "I just don't know."
"Then I'm taking that as a no." He looked at her sadly for a moment before calling out the window, "Who wants to take the Delorean?" Sierra and Thomas both raised their hands instantly. Ryan tossed them the keys, "No scratches or it'll be my head."
"I... I do want you though." She said softly so only Brendon would hear as everyone else began to pile into the car. Faith moved to the other window so Ryan and Greta climbed into the back seat. She stared at the window as the car started, tears streaming down her face.
