Timeline: I once read that Torchwood was set a couple years in the future, but I’m not sure if that’s true or not, so it’s set in 2009.

When I was little I wanted to be a firefighter. I thought they got to deal with cats all the time, rescuing them from trees and whatnot. I should probably mention that I was very little, as in three at the time. This is not a conversation I had with my guidance counsellor.
I like cats. I am a cat person. I am not, nor have I ever given any indication of being, a dog person.
H wants to get a dog, a big one. If our building allowed pets, I probably would’ve come home to find one living there last week. He wants to talk about the possibility of moving so we can get one. I vote no, therefore I’m having some issues understanding why a conversation is required.
I know what he’s doing. His sister did this to her husband when she wanted to start having kids. I suppose taking care of a dog is supposed to ease the hesitant party into the idea of offspring. Maybe that works on men, but as the one who would have to carry, birth, and breast feed said child, I feel there are some major factors that are not addressed in this preparatory exercise.
On one hand I think it’s kind of endearing that he’s trying this hard. On the other hand, it’s kind of pissing me off that he’s trying to manipulate me like this. I’m not even sure he likes dogs.
