Timeline: I once read that Torchwood was set a couple years in the future, but I’m not sure if that’s true or not, so it’s set in 2009.

Cleary when it comes to my mum I’m a coward. I avoided directly telling her I’m not getting married by telling my dad, and asking him to pass on the message. I then ignored her dozen or so calls. I fully intend to talk to her sometime in the near future. I’m just waiting for it to blow over a bit.
Luckily, because I live at our secret HQ location, she doesn’t have my address. She doesn’t live in Cardiff, but I wouldn’t put it past her to drive here over something like this.
I’m starting to think J’s fake wedding shower suggestion might’ve been a good idea, if only because I could’ve kept up the charade a little longer.
