Jack- Your entries really make us think. One fast thing, God is usually only spelled G-d, when it is tangibly written, so as if it were thrown away, God, in a sense, would not be trashed. So writing, G-d in livejournal is a bit melodramatic. But so are you, so why not. Keep writing, You're Great!
I do not come with the intention of being all that cynical, but as a member of newspaper staff, I'm sure you understand that writing is not writing - it's only re-writing. I would have gladly revised it for you, but nonetheless it was interesting.
Your topic rather swayed with the flow, it became at parts intense, at parts condensending and at parts comidical. It's an interesting stand point, but in the nicest of terms I have to admit that your main idea outlined was in ways strayed from. Becareful of that. But, keep on truckin lil' buddy.
Jack- that was a really moving letter, and I know Mrs. Deboer with appreciate the feedback... I am really proud that you were able to say how you feel. I miss you, call me. Love, Meghan

hey jack,
thought i'd just put this up here on yours.
scott- i really like the fact that your schools have something like this that lets people know about being gay. i attend grosse pointe north and students at our schools do not understand or know anything bout being gay. i think it would be great to get a panel of people to talk to some of our classes. we have a GSA in grosse pointe but its not very good, we also have a diversity club but they dont cover gay topics although they have members who are. i think it would be a great idea to contact ours and set something up and if ur group helps our group out. i would help start the movement but only a few close friends know at my school (thats because it is so tough on us)

John, There is a woman, who actually spoke on the panel, named Connie Sfire. Her son went to one of the Grosse Pointe schools and she talked about his experience there and she said it wasn't easy for him. She is trying to get the GSA better recognition in the schools. She mentioned that the students are talking to attorney's because the school is being very unaccomadating. I'm really sorry that it's not a better enviornment for you, but that's awesome that you have those close friends with whom you can trust and share this part of yourself with. Be patient, something is being done. You might want to contact PFLAG and Connnie. She is a great woman and really nice. www.pflagdetroit.org I'm pretty sure that's the website. Take care. Scott

its wonderfuly beautiful the way that Jack seems to be non-gay activist, and accepting of the fact that it will limit him, while money and success int the workplace is his first priority. Thats understandable. But that being said, how much talk of all these programs is existing on his live journal, out of anyones. I think its fun.

I'm curious, are you wondering how many of these progams exist? If that's the question, the sad but true fact is that they are at Groves, Seaholm (for the past four years or so) and The International Academy (which just got started last year). I may not have understood what you were asking, but I think that's the answer you are looking for. Let me know if I misunderstood. Scott
