I love books.
I especially love used books, when they have just the right amount of wear.
The covers aren't pristine, the spines are a little wrinkled, there are scuffs around the edges, but overall they're in good shape.
The pages are just slightly discoloured. And they have that lovely scent about them - not freshly-bleached paper, but paper that's been around a bit.
My recently-acquired-for-a-pittance copies of Julian May's Saga of Pliocene Exile fit the bill perfectly so far. I am content. :)
