Last week the city's cultural precinct, specifically the Art Gallery and the State Library were once again re-opened following extensions, remodelling and refurbishing in conjunction with the opening of the brand new Gallery of Modern Art ( Read more... )

Flipping through the free local newspaper this evening and saw a piece where the State Library wants to know what our Top 10 Reads are. Librarians across the state have already nominated their favourite books and the Top 5 are:

I went to a local spring festival on the weekend - strawberry sundaes and clear blue skies. From the gate I had to walk through the marshalling area for the 'U-Beaut' ute competition. Saw one that had the number plate '6olum'. :D

“An Afternoon with Alexander McCall Smith” offered the email from the bookshop. Squeeee! Immediately forwarded it on to my sister, K, who is also a fan, and the next day we had organised our tickets.
