This week Reeve & McIntyre took the Eurostar to take part in this year's Book Festival hosted by the British School of Brussels. It was mega! On Monday, Reeve & McIntyre showed up in Flanders to join our Dutch-language publishers at Boekenbeurs, Antwerp's Book Fair. We were thrilled how excited the team at Ballon Media were about our Roly-Poly Flying Pony! Check out that big wooden Kevin!

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm still catching up with the Christmas posts. Stuart and I went to our friend Manoelle's mum's house up on the hill in Namur (south of Brussels). During the holidays, Stuart and I took the train out from Brussels to the Flemmish town of Ghent and spent the afternoon wandering along the canals, craning our necks to look at buildings, and trying not to get run over by bicycles.

While we were in Brussels for the wedding, someone brought out a croquet set during the reception and it turned out none of the Brits knew how to play. So I gave everyone a croquet lesson, but since there was no one to check up on me, I taught them how to play McIntyre Rules, which I suspect is much more vicious than your average croquet. I didn't get time on this trip to spend ages browsing in a bookshop, but I managed to do a lightening blitz of the news agent next to the place I picked up everyone's breakfast pastries.
