Settled and unsettled
So the battle is over, we're left on the field, sucking mud. Bloodied and bruised, poor but not stripped entirely of dignity. The actual details of the mediation are strictly confidential of course but I will say that we decided to bow out rather than go to court and endure even greater hardship and risk a mountain of debt. Debt that would get me no more than a "sorry" which is small comfort when confronted with all the misery we've had to endure.
Time now to turn to other ventures to see what new life may be coaxed from the ruins, and where our road takes us.
I'll try to post more and get something concrete done about securing a future too.
